Season Ticet renewal question
|
On my account I am automatically opted in to the Home Cup ticket scheme.
What does that actually mean? I don't want to automatically buy Home Cup tickets.

16 year old GCSE students could write the appropriate software for this ticket system. It isn’t even pocket science, let alone rocket science.
How hard do they have to slam into your arse cheeks before you realise you’re being fucked?

You must all be lying because;
1) They’re fans like us so wouldn’t rip off their own
2) Brady is the best businesswoman around and runs a tight ship
Go and support someone else if you don’t like the way the board continue to mug you off.

A snidey trick no doubt, although it’s good to see them incentivising cup games with points.
The old system where you got vouchers for every cup game you attended was a good one

I'd already posted this on a different thread. Three times I tried to renew online on different days and three times it automatically tried to register me for the automated cup thing. I phoned up and they said it's a "glitch" despite it happening on three separate days. If you paid with a debit card and it automatically opted in I would strongly advise you to contact the Ticket Office and ensure that they are not going to try to take money off that card in future. Glitch my arse.

Another accidentally on purpose hiccup from the crafty, money-grabbing shysters.

If you Opt In they automatically send you a ticket for your seat for home cup games, debit your account and award you 2 priority points for away, or cup final. tickets.
if you Opt Out you don't automatically get a ticket and miss out on 2 priority points.
Just another rip off to make sure that those who regularly go to away games also buy tickets for cup games.

I'm opted in as well but they don't have my card details so they can'y "buy them for me"

I renewed online and as people have said this ‘opted in’ was displayed with no way of opting out. As mentioned below it doesn’t have a card registered. I’m thinking it’s a clumsy way of reserving your seat for home Cup ties so that you have first go at it. It’s poorly explained and potentially confusing
Which could be the motto of our owners

I just called the ticket office and they told me that I am NOT "Opted in" despite what it says on my website account. He said it is a glitch in the system and they are looking into it.
Bah!

Renewed online last week and didn't spot this, just logged into my account to check and sure enough I've apparently been opted into the home cup scheme without my knowledge or consent.
As 1964 says there's a section for credit/debit card registration. If no card is registered then nothing will happen?
can't be arsed phoning them up to opt out of something I never opted into.

If they showed some proper commitment to the Cups, they wouldn't have so many fans saying they won't be bothering with attending those early rounds. Self inflicted wound. Shame they are pulling strokes to overcome our reaction to it, though...

Under the message which says opted in there is a credit/debit card registration. If no card is registered then surely they can't automatically sell you a ticket.

Its a glitch apparently. Best way to renew by calling, they will explain why they are so useless. Noticed it when doing mine.

So opt out or you will get a ticket for all home cup games. Does what it says on the tin!
